Holidays
The Ultimate Winter
Wonderland? - Canada Of Course!
If you ever decide to take
a holiday to Canada, then Canadian holidays will
likely become a part of your vacation
destinations. The country has phenomenal outdoor
recreation and lush agriculture with a strong
economic sense.
There countless tourist
attractions, preserved heritage sites and a
vibrant culture that most Canadians regards as
the most important of all of the attractions.
This Canadian livelihood was enriched with the
coming of European explorers in the late 1700s
together with the aboriginal ancestry that dates
back to thousands of years.
The cultural variety
complements the variety that can be found in
spectacular events held across the country,
venues, festivals and entertainment experiences
throughout the country.
The boundless natural
wilderness sits on the borders of the high rise
metropolitan cities that are world-renowned for
ballets, symphony, arts galleries, concert halls
and stadiums among many other things.
On the outskirts of these
cities, founded on agriculture, are great
fishing lakes, enormous mountain ranges,
tranquil wild lands, tremendous sporting
opportunities and prime vineyards, stand as a
testimony to this.
Make Canada Your Holiday
Destination
Canada, the second largest
country in the world offers a range of
experiences for its visitors and with large
patches of land that range from cosmopolitan
cities to rugged tundra terrains; you are in for
some real treat as you get to experience some of
the best that Canada has to offer. Canada
destinations can fit virtually any
travelers tastes. Bound to the west by the
Pacific and Alaska, to the east by the Atlantic,
to the north by the polar ice cap and to the
south by the United States of America, Canada is
a land of variety, both in cultures and in the
spectacular views.
Canadas beautiful
scenery is stunningly captivating and cities
have been built to ensure that this natural
scenery is preserved. Canadian cities are also
designed to ensure that Canadians are never far
from these natural heritage sites.
The natural beauty of
Canada also has another complement, the cuisine,
vulture and customs of Canada add a mix of
legacy to the countrys French, British and
Aboriginal heritage. These trips mainly include
the two tourist districts, British Columbia and
Alberta that border the United States.
One of Canada destinations
found in Alberta is the Banff National Park
located in the Alberta Rockies. Being the first
and the largest national park in Canada, Banff
National Park not only has rich flora and fauna,
but also a rich history.
Having been inhabited by
the Stony Indians thousands of years ago before
the coming of the white man, the 6,000 square
kilometer park is now home to black and grizzly
bears, coyotes, wolves and cougars. Squirrels
and Marmots and an occasional Beaver and
Porcupine can also be found on the warm and
fuzzier side of the park.
This area normally has a
mild climate during summer with July being the
warmest month and the park offers excellent
opportunities for trail walking. Although
considered the best, Banff is not the only
destination of the nearby cities. Other popular
Canada destinations nearby include the Jasper
and Yoho National Parks.
The mountains in this
region also abound with winter sports resorts.
The national parks offer unique destinations for
tourists by not only offering spectacular views
and outdoor activities, but they also have
cities and towns inside that have comfortable
bases for exploring the natural and manmade
attractions.
This wonderful country is
impossible to dislike and vacation travel is one
way to give it a shot. Festival-packed cities
like Toronto and Montreal offer a double dose of
history in addition to sporting events like
hiking, skiing and snowboarding in the nearby
mountains.
Canadian holidays also
offer some free days out. One of these
destinations where you do not have to worry
about paying a dime is the Royal Ontario Museum.
With almost six million objects in its
collections, the Royal Ontario Museum is one of
Canadas leading international museums.
Other museums that have
free days are the Art Gallery of Ontario, the
Bata Shoe Museum and the Torontos Casa
Loma. Visiting some of these museums can be time
well spent if you decide to take Canadian
museums giving a long history of European
elegance and splendor.
Canadian holidays are
usually not complete without a visit to the
countrys provincial mountains. Moose
Mountain ranges in Saskatchewan extend to
Manitoba borders with a 2,725 feet peak. Tourist
attractions include hiking and trails among
other things.
Be sure not to miss the
awesome and thundering Niagara Falls. These
impressive falls can be viewed both day and
night and throughout the year even during
winter.
Banff National Park, the
first Canada national park and the largest in
Canada is also one of the destinations that make
Canadian holidays a thrilling experience. Those
taking Canadian holidays will testify to the
beauty of this large country and all that it has
to offer.
If you are a westerner,
you will not need to apply for a visa to visit
Canada if you plan to stay for less than 180
days. You can thus get to enjoy your holiday
destination to the full.
